5 Awesome Reasons Why Coaches Should Have a Blog (Part 1)As a coach or consultant, you probably already know about the importance of being recognized as a knowledgeable expert in your field.  One of the main reasons is that people like to do business with people they feel are knowledgeable and can help them solve their problems.

Did you know blogging can play a major role in building your authority and expert status online?  A blog can be your home base for your knowledge and expertise, the place where people can pull up a chair and learn about what you have to share.

If you’re not using blogging as a core marketing activity then it may be something you might want to consider, or if you are using blogging, but not getting any results from your blogging effort then you might want to read on.

    A blog is a great way to build your expert platform.  Having a place online that you own that houses your original content and a place where you can become known as an expert or a knowledgeable person in your field is priceless, and that is exactly what a blog can do for you.  Imagine your ideal prospects learning about you and learning about what you offer to the world by reading an awesome post on your blog.  It is a great introduction to your work and it showcases your knowledge and personality to potential clients.
  2. Reach More People
    A great way to reach people is to conduct in-person events like workshops and seminars in your community, but if you want to reach more people than just your local community, then you have to be online consistently, and a great way to be online consistently is by consistently creating great content on your blog.  Imagine your blog as a place where more people can see, hear, and read your work.
  3. Create More Traffic for Your Website
    You probably put a lot of time and effort in to creating your website, and you would love to get more traffic to your website so people can learn more about your business.  One of the best ways to get more traffic to your website is by having an active blog.  There are various reasons why having an active blog on your website creates more traffic including SEO benefits and Social Media benefits.  Your blog gives people a reason to visit your website, and once they are there, they will be able to learn more about your business and how you can help them.
  4. Grow Your Email List
    Another advantage of having a blog is it can be used as a strategy to grow your email list.  As a coach email marketing can be a great way to consistently reach out to your prospects and clients, but you have to have several ways to encourage individuals to join your email list.  When you have a blog with strong Call to Actions (CTAs) that encourage people to join your list or download more information, you have a better chance of people joining your list after they have read and enjoyed your content.
  5. Attract Your Ideal Clients
    If you have a blog strategy that focuses on creating amazing content for your ideal audience, then in return you will attract your ideal clients.  You want your marketing effort to attract the right people and having a blog that addresses the concerns, issues, problems of your ideal audience will allow you to attract the ideal clients for your business.
